Next Generation Builders is purpose-built to support the strategic goals of workforce development boards across Milwaukee and the state of Wisconsin. By delivering credentialed, hands-on training aligned with regional labor market needs, we help close the skills gap and create pathways to sustainable employment in the skilled trades. Key credentials and program strengths include:

• Industry-Recognized Certifications: Participants earn OSHA 30, NCCER Core, and trade-specific credentials in carpentry, electrical systems, and heavy equipment operation. These certifications meet employer expectations and state licensing standards.
• Local Employer Partnerships: We maintain active relationships with construction firms, trade unions, and apprenticeship sponsors throughout Milwaukee and southeastern Wisconsin. These partnerships ensure job placement opportunities and real-world relevance in our curriculum.
• Labor Market Responsiveness: Our training is informed by data from the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development and the Southeast Wisconsin Workforce Development Board. We target high-demand roles in infrastructure, residential building, and commercial construction, with a focus on emerging green technologies and sustainable practices.
• Hands-On Training & Career Pathways: Students train in simulated job sites and supervised fieldwork, gaining practical experience that prepares them for entry-level employment and apprenticeships. We offer stackable credentials, RPP certification and career ladders that support long-term advancement.
• Inclusive Access & Support Services: We prioritize outreach to underserved communities in Milwaukee, including veterans, justice-involved individuals, and those facing economic barriers. Wraparound services such as driver’s license recovery, criminal background assessment and removal, career coaching, mental health support and financial literacy are embedded to support retention and completion.
• Regional Impact: Our program contributes to Wisconsin’s broader workforce development strategy by increasing the supply of credentialed workers, reducing unemployment, and supporting infrastructure growth across the state.
